How Shipyu Works

Navigate to Labels → Buy Label to purchase a single shipping label.

1. Select addresses — choose from saved From and To addresses, or enter new ones inline. Addresses are verified automatically.

2. Enter parcel details — weight (oz or lb), dimensions (optional), and package type (custom box, letter, flat rate envelope, small/medium/large flat rate box).

3. Compare rates — Shipyu fetches live rates from all available carriers. Rates are tagged with badges: Cheapest, Fastest, and Best Value (cheapest option within 1 day of the fastest).

4. Add protection (optional) — toggle shipment protection on, enter the declared value, and see the premium calculated instantly.

5. Purchase — the total is deducted from your wallet. You receive a downloadable label PDF and tracking starts automatically.

For high-volume shipping, use Labels → Bulk CSV to purchase multiple labels from a single CSV file.

1. Upload CSV — drag and drop or browse. Shipyu auto-detects columns like name, address1, city, state, zip, weight_lb, etc. using 100+ header synonyms.

2. Map columns — confirm or adjust the detected mapping. Required fields: name, street, city, state, zip.

3. Preview & edit — review each row with validation indicators. Fix errors inline. Set global weight, dimensions, package type, and From address.

4. Rate selection — Shipyu fetches rates for each row. Choose a strategy (cheapest, fastest, or best value) or override individual rows.

5. Purchase all — labels are purchased sequentially with a progress bar. Results show success/failure per row with tracking numbers and download links.

Save frequently used addresses to speed up label creation. Go to Settings → Addresses or save directly from the label purchase flow.

• Addresses are split into From (your warehouses/return addresses) and To (frequent recipients).
• Set a default for each type — it auto-fills when creating labels.
• Each address is verified via the carrier network when saved.
• Fields: name, company, street 1–2, city, state, ZIP, country, phone, email.

After purchase, your label is available as a PDF download. You can:

• Download immediately from the purchase confirmation
• Access it later from the bulk results table or label history
• Print on standard label paper (4×6") or plain paper and tape to your package

Every label purchased through Shipyu automatically creates a tracked shipment in your dashboard. There's no extra charge — tracking is included with the label and does not count toward your plan's shipment limit.
