How Shipyu Works

When you buy a label, Shipyu Intelligence analyzes all available rates and recommends the best option. The recommendation engine scores each rate on a 0–100 scale based on cost, delivery speed, and reliability.

Rates are automatically tagged with badges:

• Cheapest — the lowest-price option
• Fastest — the shortest delivery time
• Best Value — the cheapest option within 1 day of the fastest delivery

The recommended rate is highlighted with savings information, such as "Save $2.50 with this option" compared to more expensive alternatives.

Shipyu compares rates from multiple providers simultaneously:

• Shipyu Intelligence — 100+ carriers globally with pre-negotiated rates
• Direct carrier integrations — UPS, FedEx, and USPS rates from your own accounts (if configured)

All rates from all providers are merged, deduplicated, and sorted. You always see every option side by side — no carrier bias.

For bulk CSV imports, Shipyu calculates total savings across all rows and can auto-select the cheapest, fastest, or best-value rate for each row.

Every rate includes a delivery estimate pulled directly from the carrier API. When comparing rates, you can see estimated delivery dates alongside pricing.

Once a shipment is in transit, Shipyu shows the carrier's live ETA on the shipment detail page and in the shipments table. Statuses update automatically as the package moves through the network.
