How Shipyu Works

Everything you need to know about tracking, labels, insurance, integrations, and more.

Integrations

Connect your selling platforms and email to automatically sync shipments into Shipyu.

Shopify

Connect your Shopify store to automatically pull orders and tracking numbers into Shipyu.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Outbound and click Connect next to Shopify.

  2. Enter your store-name.myshopify.com domain and authorize the app in the Shopify admin.

  3. Choose your sync mode: New orders only (future orders via webhooks), Orders since a date (import from a specific date), or All historical orders.

  4. Click Import Orders. Shipyu pulls order data including tracking numbers from fulfillments, customer info, and shipping addresses.

After initial setup, new orders sync automatically via webhooks. You can also trigger a manual sync anytime with the Sync Now button.

Tip

Shopify integration requires a paid Shipyu subscription. Tracking numbers from fulfillments are automatically mapped to carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, Amazon).

Amazon

Connect your Amazon Seller Central account to sync orders into Shipyu.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Outbound and click Connect next to Amazon.

  2. Authorize via Amazon's OAuth flow. Shipyu stores your Seller ID and encrypted tokens.

  3. Orders sync automatically on a scheduled interval. Each sync pulls up to 50 orders with a 30-day lookback window.

What syncs: order ID, line items, fulfillment status, shipping address, and buyer info.

Tip

Amazon integration requires a paid Shipyu subscription. You can manually trigger a sync anytime with the Sync Now button.

Gmail Auto-Import

Connect your Gmail account and Shipyu automatically extracts tracking numbers from shipping confirmation emails.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Inbound and click Connect next to Gmail.

  2. Authorize read-only access to your Gmail (Shipyu only reads emails — it cannot send, delete, or modify anything).

  3. Shipyu scans for shipping-related emails, extracts tracking numbers using strict carrier validation, and creates inbound shipments automatically.

How it works behind the scenes:

  • Searches for emails with keywords like "shipped", "tracking", "delivery", and "order".
  • Extracts tracking from email body text, "Track Package" links, redirect chains, and tracking platform pages (including Narvar).
  • Validates every candidate against strict carrier patterns — order numbers and random strings are rejected.
  • Processed emails are recorded so they're never parsed twice.
Tip

Gmail only has read-only access. Shipyu cannot send emails, mark messages, or access anything outside shipping confirmations.
