Shipyu MCP server: track shipments from Claude Code
Shipyu now ships a Model Context Protocol server. Connect it to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client and your agent can create trackers, fetch live shipment status, manage webhooks, and check usage against your own account — authenticated with your API key, scoped exactly like the REST API.
Setup is one config entry; shipyu.com/mcp has the snippet for each client. Under the hood it calls the same versioned v1 API, so every agent action is subject to the same auth, rate limits, and logging as any other request.
Plain-text docs at /llms.txt, an MCP server, and a dated changelog: Shipyu is built to be the tracking API that AI coding tools reach for by default.

Security page: implemented, not aspirational
shipyu.com/security documents how Shipyu handles API keys, webhooks, and your data. Every claim on it describes what is implemented today — no roadmap items, no aspirations.
- API keys stored as SHA-256 hashes and compared in constant time; keys are shown once at creation
- Webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256 secrets so your endpoint can verify every delivery; secrets are shown once and rotatable
- Credentials redacted from stored request bodies; 90-day retention with automatic cleanup
- Two-factor authentication and organization-scoped roles in the console
The page also lists every subprocessor and how to report a vulnerability.

Developer docs: 5-minute quickstart and a plain-text API reference
New documentation hub at /docs. The quickstart walks from signup to a webhook-verified tracker in five steps, with copy-paste curl for every call.
The entire API reference is also published as plain text for AI tools: /llms.txt is the index, /llms-full.txt the complete reference — both generated from the same OpenAPI spec as the interactive docs, so they never drift. Claude, Cursor, and other coding agents can read the full API surface in one request.
- /docs — quickstart, API reference, MCP server, changelog
- /docs/quickstart — first tracker in ~5 minutes, including webhook signature verification
- /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt — machine-readable reference for AI coding tools
- /api/openapi — the OpenAPI 3.1 spec itself, no auth required

Shipyu API v1: one canonical model for shipment tracking
Shipyu is a developer-first shipment tracking API. Create a tracker with one POST and Shipyu normalizes every carrier's status vocabulary into one canonical shipment object — the same fields, the same meanings, across 100+ carriers, so your code never parses carrier-speak again.
- POST /api/v1/trackers registers a shipment; responses return a normalized status, the full event timeline with locations, and a delivery estimate
- Webhooks are HMAC-SHA256 signed and retried up to 5 times with backoff; deliveries are visible and pausable from the console
- Test mode is free forever with deterministic TEST_* tracking numbers — verify your whole integration before spending a cent
- Usage-based pricing from $0.02 per tracker; no platform fee, no seats
